So I like my coffee. I wanted a decent espresso machine while I was waiting for the ZPM Espresso machine. The ZPM project never came to be. It was good that I had decided to buy one off eBay and ended up with a Salvatore Espresso machine.
I took it all apart and cleaned it. After I repaired it it served me well until I got involved with another project. A few of us sat around chatting about the failure. We discussed what should have been done to make a successful good machine. Eventually I got involved with a small group of people serving as advisors for what came to be Decent Espresso. I received one of the first few machines sent out to anyone besides his direct employees. I received DE1Pro #6 in 2018. Just slightly smaller than the Salvatore E61 single group semi automatic machine which is surprisingly large to most people. The Decent is just slightly bigger than what most people expect for a home machine. It’s still just about right, however, for most people once they get used to the size.
The nice thing about the Decent Espresso machine is it receives updates over the internet. These install to a touch screen android tablet. It then updates firmware to make it more reliable and functional over time.
